Short Term Mission Trip All students at CCBC are also required to participate in a short-term mission trip to another country and culture. Trips are organized regularly to locations near the border of Mexico. This is not a course and the trip does not need to be with the school going to mexico. Community Service Class This course requires two hours of community service per week. Each student will be assigned to one project or department for the entire semester. There will be training and tests required based upon the nature of the project. The class is designed to contribute to the needs of the community and teach the student what it means to give back to those in the local area. The students are not sent out into the community to proselytize, recruit, or preach. However when an opportunity is given to share about the kingdom of heaven there should be no restraint, as we want to adorn the doctrine of God in every respect. Each student's grade will directly reflect his or her attendance. Attendance will be tracked by a journal that the student keeps as he or she does each week's project. Attendance at the weekly community service meeting is also required. |
