Prospective students who are not citizens of the United States and have been offered admission by Calvary Chapel Bible College will be issued an I-20M-N for the purposes of obtaining an M-1 student visa. In order to be awarded an I-20M-N, the student must be able to provide proof of the following:

English Proficiency
It is essential that all international students be able to understand and speak English, since all instruction, reading and research is in English. To determine the applicant's proficiency in English, the applicant must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as administered by the Educational Testing Service at the nearest examination center. A minimum score of 500 is required or the computerized TOEFL with a score of 173 or above for acceptance.

Financial Responsibility
All international applicants must establish the degree of their financial capability to meet the costs of an education at CCBC.

The International student must demonstrate the ability to provide sufficient funds or has a sponsor willing and able to finance the full program. Financial proof can be provided in the form of an affidavit of support, a bank letter or a check made out to CCBC. The bank letter must be in U.S. dollars. Once the Admissions Office has obtained this proof, an I-20M-N form will be issued which the student may use to obtain a student M-1 visa. Any non-English documents such as transcripts, diplomas, bank statements, or test scores must be accompanied by a certified English translation. Questions concerning the visa application process should be directed to the Office of Admissions.

Acceptance
Once all application materials have been received, including three references, then the application is submitted to the Review Committee. The Committee prayerfully considers each application. A student can expect to hear from the college within a few weeks after applying.
